Jamie Lewis, Emily Finn, Josh Mcinnerny, Jon Mcnaught, and possibly several others yet to be confirmed, will be cycling from Treyarnon, near Padstow, in Cornwall, to ride a route of around 300 miles to Rhossili in the Gower, Wales. These are 2 of Alex’s favourite places, and also where he asked for his ashes to be buried. We are hoping to complete this trip in about 5 days, to raise money for BCRT. Please click on the links below to help them raise money, and make all the effort worthwhile. More links will be added as participants are confirmed.

ALi Lewis, Alex’s lovely wife, will also be taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 9th October for the Bone Cancer Research Trust. We wish her the best of luck in her training, and urge all of you to make a donation and sponsor Ali for her big run. Please click on the link below to sponsor her:

We are also in the early stages of planning a cycling event from Lewis (Hebrides) to Lewes (Sussex) – Alex had already been making plans for this event, an ambitious project that we hope will come together next summer. We’ll keep updating information on this page, so please keep checking back if you’re interested in getting involved.

We will post more information about these events as they approach. If any of the people taking part in these events has pictures or just giving pages that we can link to in order to raise more money for these events, please e-mail me at jbwlewis@hotmail.co.uk.
All of you who have already taken part in events or have more info about things you’ll be doing please get in touch at jbwlewis@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks

Many thanks to Ross Stickland who rasied over £700 running the Bournemouth Bay half marathon on the 3rd April & thanks to Georgia Sharp, who ran the Bath Half Marathon for the Bone Cancer Research Trust.

Our thanks also go to Aileen Foulis and Leah Cunanne, who have raised a lot of money running in the Edinburgh Half Marathon on the 10th April.Thank you all so much.

We’d also like give a big thank you to Kathryn Wills, who did a 60 mile run/walk in the New Forest over 2 days over the 30th April-1st May and raised over £1000 for BCRT.
Here are a few more of the upcoming charity projects that people have organised or are taking part in:

Thanks to all who took part in the Quiz at the Red Lion, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell on 30 May 2011, and helped raise so much, and made it such an enjoyable event. Likewise to all who took part in and helped to organise the Brightfest weekend music festival – 16th & 17th July 2011 at the Red Lion – another very succesful event that raised a lot of money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
